Eastern Kodiaks

Your Eastern Kodiaks started off the 2010-2011 campaign with the IJHL season opening showcase in Saugus, MA on Labor Day Weekend with an impressive 3-win weekend.  They came back for their home opener against Mass Maple Leafs on Friday the 17th with a score of 6-4 and outshooting the Leafs 48-25.

The team travelled to Dracut, MA on Saturday for a game against New England Stars, and less then 24-hours after the home opener our Kodiaks beat the Stars 7-5 in an offensive slugfest between two of the League's top three New England teams.

On Sunday morning the next challenge came for the Kodiaks as they went down to Raynham, MA for a rematch with the Mass Maple Leafs.  The game started out great with a goal in the first shift and they went into the locker room with the lead and a score  of 2-1.

The Kodiaks came out fired up after Coach Sheehan's speech in the locker room and scored 5 unanswered goals to lead the game to 7-1 after two periods. The game would end after two periods because the zamboni broke down and the referees determined that the ice surface unsafe upon which to play.
